Back to School Tips

Let's start the school year off right with a structured and productive routine! Here are a few tips to help you aid in your child's growth in the classroom and at home!

  • Set a consistent schedule for waking up, getting ready, and completing homework.
  • Designate a quiet and well-lit area in your home as a dedicated homework zone.
  • Establish open lines of communication with your children and their teachers.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences and stay involved in their education.

Tifton Housing Authority hopes everyone has a successful school year!

Senior Bingo Participants

Our seniors participated in a fun and festive "Independence Day" themed bingo during the month of July. The colors red, white, and blue adorned our Elderly Village Community Building as we enjoyed good food and friendly competition.

Bingo winners took home pitchers, crockpots, coffee makers, while others received water dispensers and new hampers! We enjoy spending this time with our seniors and are always looking forward to our next themed event.

CEO's Message

Executive Director, Ms. Shaundra Clark

Good day, Tifton!

Although the weather is still scorching, fall is just around the corner! Our kids are back to school safely, and we've made it this far. That's enough to give ourselves a pat on the back!

With the recent crimes and covid uptick, let's remember to take the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy. If you see something, say something. Our communities are better, when each resident plays their part in being engaged, aware, and considerate of their neighbor.

Please read through this newsletter for our resident services recap and upcoming events, visit our website, sign up to receive text and email notifications, and download our app from your favorite mobile store. Also, remember to connect with us on Facebook and Twitter @TiftonHousing. We want to ensure you receive resident news and community resources in multiple ways.

If we can help you in any way, don't hesitate to call us at 229.382.5434. Until then, remember "everyone has inside them a piece of good news. The good news is you don't know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is."- Anne Frank
